Here's another paper I wrote for that my New Testament course. It's a little out of order from the others, though. I kind of digressed from talking about Galatians to what I consider to be the nature of our relationship with God, and what God wants from us.

Oh, yea, my ego is huge right now because I apparently got the highest grade on my mid-term in that same class.

Recently I've been reading the Epistles for my New Testament course, and this is the first of the weekly reaction papers I've been writing. Mr Boudria, the professor, started us off with First Thessalonians, just to get us into the groove of Pauline writing. I've already written about five of these, so this is the first. I'll have one for many of the Epistles, and I may even force myself to write one for the Epistle I missed just for you guys to read. I don't want to sound too conceited, but I think I give a good impression of my thought here, and that's why Mr. Boudria is practically forcing me to take part in the extra credit project we're organizing. I believe he wants me in particular because we're organizing a panel discussion revolving around a certain movie (I actually can't say much more about it due to legalities) involving religion, and he wants me to serve as the intellectual voice of the class as opposed to several others who represent experience, faith, and lay christianity.

So, I said I had a lot of content to add here a few days ago, and I was being pretty honest therein. My choice this time is something to help you all understand a bit more about the reason I think the way I do. This won't explain everything, but it'll offer a few certain inklings to help, alongside whatever knowledge you already have about me.

Sorry for the massive gap between posts, but it's mostly because I haven't had too much to post that's too noteworthy. I have a very boring existence, I guess. However, I have a bunch of nice essays and such to bolster my post count, though and start getting me back into the rhythm of LJ. I'll start with a short essay I wrote last term for one of my history courses.

Well, I don't have much to say, and I'm too busy writing a paper for school to properly make a response, so to pass the time until I'm more able, here's another essay I wrote for my english class. It concerns the justifications the Europeans had, if any, to the crusades.

Funny thing a few days back. When Mr. Rice brought in the food, he had some doritos. Ranch, and Salsa Verde. He left the doritos, so I brought them home and ate the remainder of the Ranch chips. Now, I felt bad cause I was eating something while my Sister and Mother didn't, so I gave them the Salsa Verde.

"Careful guys, this stuff is VERY VERY VERY spicy(for them)." I said.

"Okay. It won't be that bad," They replied.

"I had some at school, they're not that hot!" My sister continued.

I go into the bathroom, for, you know...bathroom reasons. And no more than one minute after I entered did I hear this loud, obnoxious wailing, and then a subsequent banging on the door.

"What the fuck!?" I ask.

"OPEN THE DOOR!" My sister.

"What? Why!?"

"I GOT SOME OF THE STUFF IN MY EYES!"

"Ah, Jesus"

So I hurry up and get out. Then I go in my room to work on my computer. A few seconds after I sit down I hear "SHIT! HANNAH! GET ME SOME WATER AND THE HAM", my mother.

"Why!?" Hannah retorts

"MY MOUTH IS ON FIRE!"

I hang my head and chuckle softly to myself.

However, now I have cornbread muffins. All is good in the world.

Oh, yea, I also talked to my Psych teacher, and she told me that the 100 I got for that project was the highest grade she'd given for that assignment. Ever.

Last week I rented Half-Life 2 for the X-box I bought from Justin, and I must say, it's the best First Person Shooter I've ever seen. The damage done to enemies is excellent, as well as the damage done to yourself. The guns are well designed and fit whatever situation you could encounter. My primary gripe about the game is that the amount of ammunition you carry is a bit on the small side, and there aren't enough Recharge Stations. I find it rather strange that Half-Life 2 is better than it's predecessor, due to the fact that such a thing has never happened before.

However, I do miss the ability to massacre helpless scientists. ;>

Also, I got a One hundred out of One Hundred on my big psych project. Awesome.
